I just couldn’t put this book down. The suspense hits from the very first pages, locks tight and never lets go. The portrayal of the human spirit at a time of crisis is a reminder that love and resilience can carry us through so much. Genuinely very sad in parts.

It has been a while since I’ve had a ‘blown away’ read but this was definitely one of those moments!
This book is a fantastically gripping, tense, harrowing read. It is pacy and cleverly structured so you devour the story eager to unpick the plot, not wanting to pause – even to breathe sometimes!
I loved the multiple narrators and found myself caring about them all – the sheer bravery of children was well-depicted, the desperation and fears of Rafi and Basi alongside the sheer grief of the mother, Beth and the skill of Rose and the emergency services! It helped the pace and tension in the book and gave an all round view of the situation, from the people ‘who mattered’.
    Totally recommend it!!

What a read, couldn’t put it down. The stories of many wrapped up in one delicious thriller. Thought provoking, what would you do, who do you save, do you really know the people you love…..
