  1. Anna Kierczynska

Everything that Laura Purcell writes is a top notch gothic fiction.

Always with supernatural elements that can be explained later… but throughout the book the author makes the reader think that maybe the odd, scary parts are real… a book full of ghosts, talking to the dead, murder and an old art of creating silhouette portraits.

Agnes is an artists. She lives with her mother and her nephew and they have a normal life… until her clients are being murdered.

Simon, her late sister’s husband is always around and as a doctor he takes care of Agnes when she’s unwell. He talks to the police and does everything to protect her from distressing events like questioning.

Gothic story that gives you creeps.

    A brilliant piece of fiction.

    Definitely a must read.

  2. Paula Fullerton

I love Laura’s book and this is no exception. If you like gothic and creepy it is a must read. The ending was unexpected.
