This arrived in my monthly fiction bundle and if I am honest my first thought was “oh no, a love story”. However, I was so glad Bert sent me this, as it was beautifully written with a flawed protagonist that you can’t help but warm to.. There is plenty of humorous banter and yet the topic of death is treated with respect without being mawkish.
