Ben Mears, a moderately successful writer, returns to the Lot to write a novel based on his early years, and to exorcise the terrors that have haunted him since childhood. This has a sense of foreboding from the very start. Similar to the feeling I got when I first watched Twin Peaks… there is such a sense of menace hanging over the town of ‘Salem Lot. Highly recommend. Terrifying doesn’t describe it.
