This is a fabulous book which ticks many boxes for ‘things I like in books’ beginning with the author (Backman is my favourite and I was very excited when I found out this was coming out)! I love getting multiple character perspectives in a book and we get plenty of these during Anxious People. There are a lot of clever little moments scattered throughout and it will really tug upon your heartstrings at various points. I laughed, cried and reflected as I read – I loved it.

  2. Natasha Chinn (verified owner)

A perfect mix of coincidences, great characters, and covers serious subjects with enough humour to make the book feel uplifting overall.

  3. Adam Le Boutillier (verified owner)

I actually preferred this on to “A Man Called Ove”, but only just. It deals with some serious subjects with some humour that shouldn’t work, but Backman makes work. I need to do a re-read of this one again soon
